乳臼齒的咬合面上，有一道一道的凹陷，稱之為窩溝，容易塞食物、藏細菌、不易清潔，進而演變成凹陷處的蛀牙。
窩溝封填指的是使用封填劑，將這些尚未形成蛀洞的凹陷處封閉起來，讓它更好清潔，配合正確的口腔衛生習慣，可以降低蛀牙的機率。
在乳牙上已經證實可以降低蛀牙的機率，因此建議施作。

There are recesses on the biting surface of baby teeth, called fissures where food particles and bacteria accumulate, presenting a challenge for dental hygiene maintenance, and increasing the risk of tooth decay.
Fissure sealants are materials placed in these grooves, creating a smooth surface which is easy to clean.
It's been proved an effective treatment to reduce caries in milk teeth and highly recommended by dentists.
